Myla and myself will be visiting the US in May. During our time there my brother is getting married to his fiance, Amy Dare. I'm excited for them and thankful that the Lord has brought them together. Then my dear friend, Erin Frazier is having her first baby and I will get to be there to experience those precious moments...I'm thrilled about this!!! And my sister-in-law is graduating from SNU with a BS in Advertising. We are very proud of her and Bryan wants badly to be a part of these special events and memories. God is amazing and I praise Him for arranging these events to happen all within a matter of a couple weeks. And also for allowing Myla and I to travel back to the US to visit family and to be part of these memorable events. Pray with us as Myla and I prepare to depart on May 15th and for Bryan and Camden as they prepare to stay home without Mom and Sis...

Beadmaking...
Many of you have heard me speak of or have met a friend of mine named Thoko. She is a 28 year old woman who is married and has 1 daughter. She makes beautiful beadwork and is a creative artist. For a long time I've been getting to know her better and have always tried to encourage and support her beading trade. Recently, I spoke to her about volunteering to teach beadmaking at Vezubuhle Care Center to 6 young women. She agreed to volunteer and teach the class and it has been going well. The first 6 girls have learned a lot and they are becoming more excited and motivated as they are now creating brightly beaded bookmarks. This is a small micro-finance project that will eventually help support Thoko and these 6 young women. Thoko has enjoyed teaching and inspiring these girls and has initiated another class of 8 girls at Thembaletu Care Center. This project is inspiring for me personally because of my friendship with Thoko, it's artistic dimension and its impact on a group of young women who are searching for direction in their lives. Please pray with us as this project develops...In Him,

Camden & Myla
The kids are growing so much. Camden is learning everyday about the world around him in Africa and I find it to be a blessings for him and Myla. The majority of my time is spent devoted to the children. Camden and I have small lessons together each week. Mostly it's simply a time for us to hang out together and my attention to be focused on him. He loves to play UNO, Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, baseball, bocce ball, soccer, ping pong, read books, watch movies, sing songs and above all he loves computer games. Grandmother sent a computer game called Jump Start Kindergarten and he loves playing and learning on that program. He also loves taking walks, baths, building blocks, riding his bike, playing in the garden and playing with his friends in the community.
Myla is now 10 months old...I can't believe it!!! She is still crawling. She wants to start walking anyday now, but knows the crawl gets her around much quicker at this stage. She pretty much looks just like her brother and daddy. She has my nose and mouth. She was eating like she was a bottomless pit but has recently slowed down a bit. Her brother gives her a hard time and thinks he's her mother. Camden is a strict brother and I'm hoping he will lighten up on her soon. He does let her play with his cars sometimes. They are doing great and growing fast...fast...fast...

The Passing Months...
It's been a long time since our last entry. Many things have happened since then. We've had a mission team from All Saints PCA come and visit. We had a great time with them.
Bryan's involvement in the Practicum class with the students at Mukhanyo Theological College has been successful and their are 6 weeks left in the course. The students have been travelling to the centers of MCDC to lead Bible Studies for some of the Youth leaders and Staff. It's exciting to see the pastors in training step into the field for hands on experience among this community.
We started our Zulu language class in February and just finished the course yesterday. It was extremely beneficial for both of us and we learned a great deal more about culture and language of the Zulu group. Our hope is to find an Advanced Course offered so that we can continue learning the Zulu language. Bryan also finished his Medieval and Ancient Church History course online with Covenant Seminary. Hooray, Hooray!!!
The project here is always evolving and it creates an atmosphere for us to be continuously learning about community development, how it works and how it does'nt work. We are grateful to the Lord for calling us to serve among this community.

The Drakensberg Mountains
We took a 3 day family trip to the Drakensberg Mountains and enjoyed the peace that those majestic mountains bring to your mind and body. It's a beautiful area of South Africa and we felt fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a few days there. There are many hiking routes through the mountains and we chose a 4 mile hike through an area with cascading waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Camden and Myla were along for the entire hike and to say the least we were rather impressed that Camden walked the whole 4 miles himself. Myla had a sweet ride tied to mother's back. We were totally worn out by the end of that journey and slept well that night. It was a blessing to take that time to simply focus on the family and enjoy the Lord's vast creation. In Christ, The McReynolds
